Children deserve a sound education rooted in truth and virtue, but things like tutoring and extra learning materials can be expensive. Under a new federal law, donors can help pay for those needs instead of sending those same dollars to the IRS. Through the Education Opportunity Fund, those donations become scholarships for students who need them most.
What We Do
American Education Opportunity Fund (AEOF) is a nonprofit Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO). We help families pay for the tutoring, learning materials, and educational resources to build strong character, civic knowledge, and academic skills.
Thanks to a new federal law, donations to AEOF earn a dollar-for-dollar federal tax credit. A credit isn’t a deduction; it comes straight off what you owe the IRS. Give $1,700 and your federal tax bill drops by $1,700. By law, at least 90 cents of every dollar goes to scholarships for the students and families we serve.
Why Now
The new federal scholarship tax credit takes effect on January 1, 2027. We can’t accept donations or scholarship applications until then, but now is the time to let us know you’re interested.

Families deserve better options.
Many families want access to classical, character-based educational resources but cannot afford them.
The demand is real.
In Texas alone, a new state program saw such high demand that around 200,000 families were waitlisted, and some 63,000 applicants sought funding for non-tuition educational expenses like the kind of help we offer.
